One thing I've noticed about days I've exercised, the more I exercise, the more I can eat! Obviously, you have to be careful with this or you'll end up eating tons of food when you exercise and end up not losing any weight. So it begins...
Here we go. The beginning.
I promised I would never stoop to having a blog. To me, blogs were a soapbox where the ignorant stood up and pontificated on subjects they knew next to nothing about.
Goes to show what I know.
Hunting for stones, by StoneJager. In case you didn't know Jager means 'hunter' in German. It was originally a name of a character that I used in online games but now has come to mean something different.
Hunting for courage.
My adult life has been ruled by fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of just about anything you could put a name too. I'm so tired of living in fear, yet I don't know how not to do it.
So how do you combat fear? One thought is that fear is a lack of self confidence. So how does one go about building self confidence?
Someone once said, "Fake it until you make it." In order to be confident, one should look confident, and I don't feel confident at 5'9" and 235 lbs. I know this is somewhat of a backwards view, but hell, I have to start somewhere, and diet and exercise is something I can easily (okay, not easily but at least it's within) control.
A word of warning, don't expect a lot of preaching or rambling on (except for this post. Hey, it's my first one, after all!). This is starting out as a chronicle of my journey to healthfulness. What it grows into, we'll see.
Thank you everyone for reading.
